United States of Shabbat
This Shabbat dinner series showcased the unique flavors, famous sites and rich culture that makes up the fabric of our country with the goal of connecting Jewish Young Professionals with one another and the Jewish community.
Wild West Purim Fest
This unique approach to an age-old ritual, the Purim carnival, appealed especially to unaffiliated families and featured a kid-friendly mechanical bull, a Wild West show, dress- up photo booth and lots of other theme-related activities and games.
Feed, Pray, Love
This campaign, created for Temple Sholom, a congregation in Cincinnati, Ohio borrowed from the title of a popular book/movie to promote a social action project in which congregants assembled thousands of meals that were donated to food shelters after the main Yom Kippur service.
Shabbat Shalom Hay
This hands-on event at an organic farm offered a great way for parents and kids to channel a Jewish overnight camp Shabbat experience in one great evening complete with challah braiding, a Shabbat song session, hayride, bonfire and more.
Schmooze for Two’s Game Night
Fusion was an initiative for interfaith couples. Our goal was to come up with a way for couples to do something engaging that would allow them to get to know each other.
Sunday in the Sukkah
This event, directed at young interfaith families presented a fun opportunity to spend a fall afternoon outdoors decorating a sukkah, learning about the holiday, coming into contact with “wildlife” and helping children connect with their Jewish heritage.
Shalom Family Holiday Handouts
This is an example of one of the many holiday handouts that were specially created for Shalom Family events, including a cooking event where families got to make their own matzo pizza, and for dessert, cinnamon matzo brie and carmel ice-cream sundaes!
Sunday Funday School
Fusion Family, an initiative aimed at interfaith families, offered a quarterly “Funday School” experience that enabled the entire family to learn about Jewish holidays and practices, and participate together in fun, hands-on activities, often in outdoor settings.
Passover Seder Made Simple
Fusion, an initiative for interfaith couples and families hosted a Jewish Information in a JIFF series that invited participants to learn by doing by attending instructive, pre-holiday meals to help them gain insight and build confidence to host and lead their own seder, Shabbat dinner and more.
Arty Party
This event for families with young children featured a fun array of artistic activities right in time for Passover. Young participants created their own seder plates, matzo covers and other holiday related items using out of the ordinary materials.
Camp at the J
This is an example of some of the marketing materials that were created to send the message that every summer “counts” so make sure you send your child to the best camp. The camp scrapbook theme was carried through in digital and print ads, brochures, posters and more.
International Shabbat Series
This Shabbat dinner series, aimed at Jewish young professionals, took participants to a different international destination every other month and gave participants a taste of each country’s unique culture, food, music and language, as well as background on its Jewish history, community and traditions.
Schmooze for Twos
This popular initiative for young couples in committed relationships hosted a variety of events and parties designed to help them make connections with one another and strengthen their bond with the Jewish community.
Hocus Pocus Purim
This event for young families featured a nationally-known magician, as well as a full Purim carnival. These giant playing cards, starring three iconic characters from the Purim story, were created as part of the invitation to fit with the magic theme.
Art Attack
This event was designed to help welcome and connect newcomers and introduce them to other Jewish young professionals. It was held at a prestigious art gallery and offered participants the chance to paint their own canvas and enjoy food and drinks against a colorful, artistic backdrop.
Political Party
This event aimed to help encourage and inspire Jewish young professionals not only to get out and vote, but to make informed decisions about who to vote for. It included stump speeches from presidential surrogates, voter registration, a chance to meet local candidates and fun, patriotic fare.
Let the Good Times Roll
Each year, Shalom Family hosted a Parents’ Night Out event to give them a chance to connect on an adult level and make stronger friendships with each other and enhance their involvement in the Jewish community.
