Sunday Funday School
The main mission of Fusion Family, an initiative of The Mayerson Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio for interfaith families, was to help educate and engage their audience around the Jewish holidays. We were charged with coming up with a series of events that would be fun and appropriate for the entire family. Realizing that their constituents did not send their children to religious school, we came up with an alternative that would involve parents and children called Funday School. It offered a chance for the whole family to participate in Jewish holiday activities together in an interactive setting. These programs proved to be extremely effective in attracting record numbers of unaffiliated interfaith families and helped get them connected to Jewish life in meaningful ways.
