Political Party
Less than a third of all millennials exercise their right vote. Access, an initiative of The Mayerson Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio wanted to help encourage and inspire Jewish young professionals (YPs) to not only vote, but to make informed decisions about who to vote for.
Our team conceived of and implemented a special “Political Party” that attracted nearly 300 YPs prior to both the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections. With speeches from high profile presidential surrogates such as US Congressman, Ted Deutsch from Florida, Omarosa Manigault Newman and US Congressman and Congressional Black Caucus Leader, Cedric Richmond of Louisiana, voter registration, a chance to meet local candidates running for office and buffet dinner, the event was a massive success, attracting upwards of 300 YPs both years.
The invitation was mailed to homes and included a campaign style button that said VOTE, which was attached to the cover of the card (does not appear in the image above as the button was added after the piece was printed). Of course, we chose a red, white and blue color palette and used iconic political images and tongue-in-cheek copy to add a sense of All American fun to the piece.
