Chai Sixty5

Being in southern Ohio, hundreds of miles from the nearest beach, wasn’t going to deter us! It was Israel’s 65th birthday and we wanted to pull out all the stops to celebrate. So, we brought the sea to Cincinnati for the day by renting a nearby sand volleyball facility, removing the nets, bringing in camels, beach chairs and Bedouin tents to create the biggest outdoor Yom Haatzmaut party this side of the Mediterranean!

Although they wouldn’t be going far, we wanted our guests to feel like they were jetting off to Israel for the day, so we created an invitation to get them in the mood to travel. It included a passport, boarding pass and even an actual luggage tag they could use on a “real” trip! The concept was simple, but it proved to be the perfect precursor to a fun and festive day for hundreds of Jewish young professionals.
